Healing begins
with a single
step forward
Compassionate, evidence-based therapy for trauma, anxiety, and PTSD — delivered through the privacy and comfort of telehealth.
A trusted guide on your path to healing
I’m Jennifer Cella Roe, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over two decades of experience in mental health care. My work is rooted in the belief that every person carries the capacity for healing — and that with the right support, that capacity can be unlocked.
I established my private practice in 2019 after years of working with some of the most resilient people I’ve ever known: veterans, first responders, and survivors of disaster. Their courage inspired me to specialize in trauma — and to bring that expertise to every client I work with.
I hold a Master of Social Work from Monmouth University and am trained in Disaster Response Crisis Counseling. I’ve responded on-the-ground to Hurricane Irene and Superstorm Sandy, and I’ve sat with families through some of life’s most unimaginable moments.
Therapy that meets you where you are
A Safe, Confidential Space
Every session begins with trust. I offer a non-judgmental environment where you’re free to be fully yourself. Confidentiality is foundational to everything we do together.
Personalized Treatment Planning
Your experience is unique, and your care should be too. Together we’ll build a goal-oriented treatment plan that evolves with you — reflecting your strengths and priorities.
Evidence-Based Methods
I draw from EMDR, CBT, DBT-informed techniques, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness — selecting approaches based on what will serve you best.
Strengths-Based Perspective
Healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken — it’s about discovering what’s already strong. My approach empowers you to build upon your own inherent resilience.
Telehealth Convenience
All sessions take place via secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms — from anywhere in NJ or PA, at home or on a lunch break, wherever feels right.
Lasting, Meaningful Change
The goal isn’t symptom management — it’s transformation. Real, sustainable shifts in how you relate to yourself, so healing continues long after our sessions end.

Rewiring the brain’s response to trauma
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is one of the most rigorously studied, evidence-based therapies for trauma. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR works directly with how traumatic memories are stored in the brain — helping to loosen their grip and restore your nervous system’s sense of safety.
During EMDR sessions, we use bilateral stimulation — guided eye movements or gentle tapping — while you briefly hold difficult memories in mind. This allows the brain to reprocess distressing experiences, reducing their emotional charge and integrating them as ordinary memories rather than open wounds.
EMDR is recognized by the American Psychiatric Association, the World Health Organization, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as an effective treatment for PTSD and trauma.
History & Preparation
We build a thorough understanding of your history and equip you with stabilization tools before any trauma processing begins.
Assessment & Desensitization
We identify specific memories to target and begin bilateral stimulation to reduce their emotional intensity.
Installation & Body Scan
Positive beliefs are strengthened, and any remaining physical tension or distress in the body is addressed.
Closure & Re-evaluation
Each session ends with stabilization. In subsequent sessions, we revisit progress and continue processing as needed.
“Healing is not a destination, but a continuous journey of growth and self-discovery. You deserve to feel supported, understood, and empowered — every step of the way.”— Jennifer Cella Roe, LCSW
